Bus Connects
Route 7, Liffey Valley to City Centre scheme application was lodged to An Bord Pleanála in July 2022. This route is
designed to run along Grattan Crescent, Emmet Road, and Old Kilmainham Road into the city centre.
This plan provides bus lanes in both directions on Grattan Crescent and one southbound lane for general traffic. At
Old Kilmainham/Mount Brown a staggered Bus Gate is proposed to operate in AM and PM peak times.

DART and Train Route Improvements
The proposed Dart+Southwest project would provide a sustainable, electrified, and more frequent rail service between
Hazelhatch and Celbridge and Dublin City centre, while also increasing capacity and reducing journey times for nonelectrified InterCity and commuter services. A further station would also be built at Heuston West.
